Hey guys, I need your opinion. I am kinda new to tuning cars. I have a 89 civic dx with intake, exhaust and header. I am currently in the process of locating parts for a MPFI swap. My question is will a cam gear do much the way my car is right now? How much of a difference would it be after the swap?

You will not see a big gain with just a cam gear. A cam along with the cam gear will help. But to achieve maximum power, it will have to be tuned on a dyno. smile

I have a AEM cam gear on my Si. I have a stock cam in and there's little if any power gain but it will make you intake scream if you turn advance it a degree or so. I plan to get a cam sometime.
